While living in Montreal, Lisa explored various styles of yoga and became inspired by the Buddhist philosophy of Metta, Loving Kindness. It is through the practice of Metta that Lisa encourages her students to find compassion and light through breath awareness. She has studied with numerous national & international teachers including, Judith Lasater, Seane Corn, Sadie Nardini, Sarah Powers, Leslie Lytle and many others.

Lisa’s passion is teaching Prenatal Yoga! The last 11 years have been dedicated to teaching Prenatal Yoga only. She has received Prenatal & Postnatal certifications from Janice Clarfield and Leslie Lytle, and continued studies with Sarah Powers. Her teachers continue to be students, the birthing community, mothers, women and her daughter.

In 2014 Lisa co-created a 85hour Yoga Alliance Certified Prenatal Teacher Training for Yoga Yoga Austin, Texas. She continues to co-lead the training each year since it's creation.

Lisa’s classes include pranayama, semi-flow movement, partner work, meditation, yoga nidra and relaxation with attention to each trimester and students needs. Class typically begins with a visualization through breath awareness connecting attention mother and child. The tools she offers to women, are empowerment through all stages of pregnancy, childbirth and the 4th trimester, and beyon. The classes are joyful, resourceful, and community building.
